To Him we beg that we are included as His servants who love Him, love His Messenger, love the Qur'an and the Sunnah of His Messenger.
Salawat and greetings may always be poured out for the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad Ibn Abdillah. Prophet who really loved his friends and the Ummah. Always teach and expect goodness. Hopefully it will bring us together in Padang Makhsyar, and allow us to sit near him. Wa ba'du.
Although certainly not mandatory, but memorizing the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad is a good sunnah to be done, and becomes happiness if we can memorize it with the sanad at the same time. Hadith scholars are known as memorizers of the hadith complete with sanad-sanad. Imam al-Bukhari for example, told that he memorized 600 thousand hadith, both valid and not.
This means that he memorized 600 thousand with Matan and Sanad as well. Likewise with Imam Ahmad told that he memorized 1 million hadith. Then what is meant is the Matan and Sanad at the same time. Hadith scholars today, there are still quite a lot of people who memorize the hadith in a particular book, complete with the sanad at once.
If you want to be compared with the ulama first, then of course the number of them memorizers of the hadith is far less and almost the number of only dozens and the number of traditions they memorize with the sanad is not as much as the scholars who first memorized.
For us lay people, memorizing the hadith with sanad is a very difficult thing, specifically for the sanad, it will often be exchanged. Therefore, in the book 40 Hadith, the writer collects his traditions only through 1 path or 1 sanad. The impact, readers only need to memorize 1 path for use in 40 hadiths. Well, even one pathway the writer deliberately chose it which is short and easy to memorize.
Then what are the benefits?
Memorizing the hadith, any of the valid, especially valid from Al-Bukhari's history, will be a beautiful memory. He will be a clue that we will continue to practice as proof of us to love the Messenger of Allah, want to follow the sunnahs. Another benefit is, we get to know scholars, tabi'in and friends. Knowing them will make us want to be like them, or our children like them.
The third benefit is, when someone memorizes the hadith with his sanad, knowing the narrators in the sanad, then understand the message contained in the hadith, it is expected that emotional relations or inner relations will arise. The impact, encouragement and motivation to practice the messages will be stronger. For example: people who memorize the existence of prayer in congregation in full, sanad, matan and biography, even the meaning, will bring him to always pray in congregation, will feel a loss if you do not do it.
This book and application is the first series, God willing, in a not too long time, we will make the second series with the pattern of hadith that is narrated through 4 paths, each path of 10 hadith. This program or movement the author offers it to schools, boarding schools and campuses, even to majlis-majlis ta'lim. Hopefully in the future it will become a broader program and the benefits will be felt by the Ummah. Amen.
